The
IPC-7711/IPC-7721 "Rework of Electronic Assemblies/Repair
and Modification of Printed Boards and Electronic Assemblies"
modular programme defines tools, materials, methods and process
goals and guidelines associated with rework and repair of surface mount
and through-hole assemblies. The standards emphasise performance
specification for the chosen technology plus information on
the rework, repair and modification of PCBs and assemblies.
When used together, these documents should lead both manufacturer
and customer to consistent terms of acceptability.
Course
Objective:
This course enables the candidate to recap on the scope, purpose,
background and controls of both the IPC-7711 & IPC-7721.
This course provides your personnel with the opportunity to retain
their IPC certification after their two-year certification
period has elapsed.

Evaluation:
The practical and theoretical examination of the candidate is
carried out in accordance with the modules above. The candidate
must produce acceptable class 3 workmanship samples in the Lab sessions.
Upon satisfactory course completion, participants will be awarded
the Certified IPC Trainer Certification, which is valid for
a further 2 years.
