IPC-J-STD-001 Certified IPC Trainer Recertification |
The J-STD-001 “Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies” program defines materials, methods and verification criteria for producing high quality soldered interconnections. The standard emphasises process control and sets industry-consensus requirements for a broad range of electronic products.
Course Objective:
The Course is designed to provide a review of the process control requirements and end product quality criteria of the Standard. The training program uses soldering labs and demonstrations as well as classroom instruction to teach the standard criteria. Participants must pass open and closed book assessments with an average score of 80% or better and produce acceptable workmanship samples. Certified IPC Trainers may be recertified by two means:
1. Two day IPC-J-STD-001 Certified IPC Trainer Recertification course.
2. Challenge Test
2-day Course Content:
This course will re-certify previously Certified IPC Trainers. Participants will review important aspects of the J-STD-001. The following material is covered.

Evaluation:
Upon satisfactory course completion, participants will be awarded the Certified IPC trainer Certification, which is valid for a further 2 years. This training and certification has immediate recognition and value throughout the electronics industry.
