Certified IPC Specialist Certification |
The
J-STD-001 "Requirements for Soldered Electrical and
Electronic Assemblies" modular programme defines materials,
methods and verification criteria for producing high quality
soldered interconnections. The standard emphasises process
control and sets industry-consensus requirements for a broad
range of electronic products.
Course
Objective:
This course provides electronics manufacturers with a uniform
method for training and certifying both the knowledge and
practical skills of their production personnel to the requirements
of the J-STD-001. The training program uses soldering labs
and demonstrations as well as classroom instruction to teach
the standard criteria.
Course
Modules:
The Certified IPC Specialist training is "modularised,"
meaning that training on the entire document is not required.
Candidates must take the first module General Requirements
of the J-STD-001 Specification. After this, a selection of
the modules applicable for the candidate can be made. These
optional modules include:

Evaluation:
The practical and theoretical examination of the candidate
is carried out in accordance with the modules selected. Upon
satisfactory course completion, participants will be awarded
the Certified IPC Specialist Certification, which is valid
for 2 years. This training and certification has immediate
recognition and value throughout the electronics industry.
